This blog is LAAAATEEEE. I meant to write a halfway check up, a 3/4 of the way there….welp here I am in month 10 out of 11 so at least I eventually got around to it, ya know? I really want to let you all know how IMPORTANT you are. I’m not just talking to my financial support team, if you’re reading this blog, YOU’RE a supporter. If you’ve ever prayed for me, my team, donated, looked at pictures and read my captions, left a like or a comment on one of my posts, or asked a loved one about me: YOU have personally supported my journey. You have no idea what the little things mean to me. Just knowing there is someone who will give me prayers when I’m sad or feeling alone is enough to make it through ministry for the day. The extra like and comment here and there are enough to felt seen, even from across the world. The $10 when I need food or toothpaste money is more than enough for the day! You talking to my mom, my family, my friends, asking about me or telling people you’re proud of me, that’s the push my loved ones need to let me finish the race and remember what I’m doing is important. I need that push too sometimes.
Y’all, my supporters are BOMB. I have moments on the race where I feel out of touch, unloved, or unnoticed. All it takes in those moments is to remember YOU! The people who made my fundraising goal possible in less than 8 months. The people who text me weekly to let me know I’m here. The people who still read these blogs—even as inconsistently as I post them. The people who have spent probably hours thinking of me and praying for me. It’s so easy to have a lasting impact on people. All it takes is intentionality! And that is exactly what YOU ALL ARE! My group of intentional people who made this dream into a reality. I have started month 10 of the race. I am in Romania. I will be home in 2 months (almost exactly). Yet, I am still floored the most by all of the people back home who have loved me so well and have supported me through it all. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR JUST BEING EXACTLY WHO YOU ARE! Remember, I want to be praying for you and your family as well. Please let me know what I can be doing to support you right back! Generosity is contagious people! You have made me into a better person because of your kindness, generosity, and intentionality. Continue to pass it on!
