Hi all!!

I just thought that I would share a little bit with you all explaining where i’m at in life right now & what the future holds for me:) So here we go!

I am actually writing this from the mountains of Colorado! I am spending the summer (AKA the next 5 weeks) here working at a dude ranch, and so far I am loving it! Way back in Romania, I actually admitted (to myself, God, & my squad) that I deeply desired to be able to do ministry in this type of a setting, and low and behold…He gave me an opportunity that is already bearing a lot of fruit! The vision of the ranch is to be able to serve people such as pastors/missionaries, and then also people such as firefighters/police officers/etc. who need a space to actually rest. Most who come to stay at the ranch are invited, and if there is space left over reservations are then open to the public. I am one of about twenty other staff members, and my job as a general staff member could look anything like weeding the property, helping out with the horses, cleaning cabins, serving food, or hanging out with kids in order to give parents a chance to do activities without them. I am super excited for guests to start coming next week, and to help create a restful space for them to see Jesus.

Around the 19th of August I will be done here at the ranch, and then have about a week to prepare for alumni team leading! I will get to stay with my squad mate/fellow alumni team leader with her family in Denver, and I am SUPER excited for that! For those of you who haven’t yet heard, since many countries are still not opening their borders we will actually be staying near Atlanta, GA for about three and a half months. There we as leaders will take part in equipping the racers in missional training, leadership development, and discipleship for the three months so that when they do launch in January (Lord willing!!) they will be SUPER ready to just hit the ground running!

I am so excited to partner with God both at the ranch & in Georgia. Even though a lot of things in the world seem really uncertain right now, God is still giving us loads of opportunities to partner with Him & to do ministry- because ministry is life!!

In this season I am still fundraising for alumni team leading! I need to raise $2,000 & I still have $1,294 to go! If you would like to partner with me financially in my season of team leading, you can either donate through Venmo or directly to my blog!

I am doing an adopt-a-box right now as a fun way to fundraise, and how it works is you “adopt” a box (or however many you would like) & you donate the amount or sum of the box(s) to my team leading fund! I will post an updated photo of which boxes still need adopting below, and if you would like to adopt one go ahead & message me!

One last thing that I wanted to share with you all is part of the vision that God gave me for this summer at the ranch. In Proverbs 29:19 it says that where there is no clear prophetic vision, we will become wayward & wander astray. Even though a lot of my job at the ranch will be mundane tasks, I wanted to come before God ready to listen to what He has to say about this season.

In Ephesians 4, it says right away in verse 1 that we are to walk in a holy manor.

H O L Y= set apart, distinct, unique. My study bible says that human holiness means imitating God, becoming more like Him.

& in order to walk with tender humility, quiet patience, & demonstrate stretching love to others around you, you have to actually taste and see for yourself. You have to live from a place of overflow. Now is not the season for spiritual apathy- no matter how many hours a day you work, weeds you pull, or buckets of horse manure you shovel. I believe that in this season for me, and maybe for some of you too, God is saying to not slumber & fall into spiritual apathy, but to seek for more of Him. That is just one way that He spoke to me through Ephesians 4 & Leviticus 19, but I definitely recommend that you go there yourself & see what He has for you in it!

If you have made it with me to this point, thank you! You’re a real one! Thank you for reading about what God has for me this season & for being willing to support me prayerfully.

Blessings & love,
Nikki
