Hello there sweet friends, family, & strangers!
I just wanted to take the time to share with y’all a really beautiful moment that the Lord let me be a part of today! So every Thursday we have what is called “Activation” (sorry if I’ve explained this before…i’ll just do a quick refresher!) which is a teaching by a staff member here at the Adventures Guatemala base in the morning, reflecting with our teams over lunchtime, & then in the afternoon we go out to our villages that we do ministry in & ATL which means “ask the Lord” where to go/who to talk to/what His vision is for our time out. Today God told me that I hadn’t yet invited Him into the mundane parts of life & He reminded me that when I seek Him & am sensitive to His voice even when I’m at the grocery store or washing my clothes at the pila that I will ALWAYS find Him. So I shared that during our team processing time, & the Lord told me again that that same thing was the vision for our time today. So my team mates Lise & Maddie as well as Sabrina who is an AIM Guatemala staff member & I decided to buy a bouquet of pink roses from the market in Parramos & pass them out on the streets just to bless people. No agenda, just wanting to show others the joy that comes with walking with the Holy Spirit. As we were walking we stopped to give one to a woman selling fruit on the side of the street. We handed her the rose & Sabrina asked her how she was doing & she replied by sharing with us that she deals with pretty bad headaches on & off, but that she had a friend/family member who was dealing with much worse. She asked if we would pray for her if she went to get her & we agreed with the intention of praying for both women. Sure enough she brings her back & then invited us into her home where we got to meet both of their children as well. Her friend shared with us that at that moment she was experiencing a 9/10 migraine which is WILD pain. My teammates, Sabrina, & all of the children gathered around the two women to pray for them & we all just started to pray & declare healing in the name of Jesus. When we had finished Sabrina asked her to rate her pain again & the women responded in shock saying that her migraine was completely gone. THANKS GOD! It was the most beautiful thing I had seen because she was so in shock, but so happy all at one time. Her faith had healed her. One of the older children in the room also spoke up saying that she was experiencing pain In her own head as well, & that when we were praying her pain has fully disappeared as well. THANKS GOD! We then got to speak life over some of the children & pray for one of the women’s 2 week old baby who had been having stomach issues.
It’s the most epic thing ever that God wants to partner with us in every part of life…even the parts that are so mundane & simple. The best part is that you don’t have to be living in Guatemala or anywhere overseas to partner with God. He’s actually inviting each & every one of us into it all of the time. So go about your days, run your errands, and have fun with friends. Just don’t forget that God is alive & working & He is inviting all of us to partner with Him. Thanks God.
All my love,
Nikki
