Giving-thanks

For that I will always be grateful!

I thought in light of this holiday of thanks giving I would offer up some things I am personally thankful this year..

Since this is a holiday, mind you my first real holiday away from family and friends I shall start there.

I’m thankful for my amazing family, church family and community of friends; whom I all miss like crazy too.

I’m so incredible thankful for all the beautiful children I have been blessed with, I don’t think I realized just how much I would miss all those adorable little faces.

I’m thankful for YOU! :o)

I’m thankful for a house WITHOUT rats, bugs, bats, gnats, lizards and the like that I will get to go home to in eight months.

I’m really super duper thankful that no icky bugs have yet to nest in my nose this month! (true story-happened in Cambodia..most tramatic experience EVER)

I’m thankful for my bed back home! (I miss you)

I’m thankful for football! (betcya didn’t see that one coming)

I’m thankful for toilets. I’m dead serious, you spend some time with a squatty potty and you’ll surly understand.

I can’t tell you what to be grateful for; however if you have a form of transportation, some form of income as little as it may be and place to lay your head at night then you have ten times more then most of the people I’ve spent the past three months with. I would think about perhaps sending some thanks and praises God’s way because you & I are tremendously blessed.

So far this month I’ve been blessed with an awesome ministry contact and different ministry opportunities.

God has also blessed me over the past month with His eyes, His heart, and His mind. He has been creating within in me His heart to love others and His eyes to see them like He does, for that I am so incredibly grateful!

I’m mostly thankful though for God’s unfailing-always enduring love. I am so thankful that no matter how many times I screw up (everyday) and no matter how many mistakes I make (lots & lots) that He loves me always. Not only does He love me but He loves me as much today as He always has, He loves me as much today as He will tomorrow, next week and even next year. I am so thankful that nothing I do can or will change His outrages love for me.

I’m thankful that He loves YOU like He loves me, same crazy outrages unfailing never ending love, yet unique and specific to the beautiful heart He created in you.

I’m thankful for everything and everyone God has blessed me with..

..above all that though …

I’m thankful that I’ve never had to go without

I’m thankful that I’ve never had to beg for food.

I’m thankful that my house is more made with more then wood scraps and rusty metal.

I’m thankful that I will never have to sell a child into sex trafficking to provide for the rest of my family.

I’m thankful that I will never have to sell my body because I don’t know what else to do because it’s all I’ve ever known.

I’m thankful that this year God has called me to serve those who are lacking, who are sold into trafficking, who are forced to sell themselves, who are begging and starving, who are lost and in need of a savior..in need of their Father. I’m so thankful that He has called me serve His children.
