BUT WE BUILT A PLACE FOR IT TO BURN!

Pretty much Jesus is awesome and used us to build a church. HOLLER! I told you in a previous blog about village life and how crazy it is. Much of that was still how we lived. Near the middle of last week we got money for our church from you. Then we recieved materials to actually start building! The story is best told in pictures so thats what you’ll find below.

God moved a lot in us and through us this month. It definatly was a hard month but there is much fruit that came out of it. God’s will is being done on earth as it is in heaven. Looking back I prayed that a lot this month. We often pray for people and what they need; a lot of people needed prayer this month…a lot. We would have lines every night ususally the same people wanting/needing prayer. I prayed for healing mostly then I noticed my prayers shifted. Yea, God let your will be done right here on earth as it is right now in heaven. There is much work to be done in that village. People still have questions but God allowed us to have a part in setting something permenant in this place. In a country where Christians are not always liked and sometimes killed; God protected us and on top of that gave us the means to build his church. WHAT THE HECK!
(our sunset every night!)
The Bible talks a lot about church. Paul spent most of his life traveling around to churches correcting them, encouraging them, and building them up. The book of Acts 9 and 15,  talks about belivers forming themselves into a church. Thats what I hope the village does, forms themselves into a church. In 1 Corinthians ch. 1 and 12, Colossians 1, and 1 Peter 2 shows us that we don’t necessarily need a building to be a church. That when we choose to follow Christ he somehow creates invisible church where two or more are gathered. That there can be an external fellowship even if the church at the moment is invisible. So overall God used us to bring something permenant to this village. We did a lot of baptizing, preaching, and teaching. Life in the village is simple and for the most part joyful.

So here are some pictures of our time in the village and building the church…invisible and visible:

 First things first…clear the land!
