After a LONG travel day from Uganda; which consisted of four airports, a short bus ride only to take an over night bus ride, we have settled a bit in Ongle, India. A day or two to rest and now our ministry has been revealed…

My team and one other team have an opportunity to literally start a church. ICM has been praying for laborers to help do this. The area we are in has many many villages which don’t know Jesus; therefore they are dying. After talking with the leader here; I AM SUPER PUMPED!!!! My team and one other team get to do outreach to a village, set up kids ministry, start discipleship, start services (right now under a tree), and our goal is to set up shop…or church. It’s interesting in India, the people are more inclined to attended something that looks like a temple; they are Temple-minded people. It sends a message that what happens there is important and there to stay for good. So yes our goal is to build a church! The village needs a place to worship and learn about Jesus. So in the morning, (Saturday morning), eleven of us are heading out to this village. Before leaving the city we have to buy necessities for the week, its like the greatest camping trip ever! I’ve also learned that our toilette is a field, bedrooms will be our tents, and a foot pump for our water. It’s actually surprising we are doing this in India and that we didn’t do it in Africa. Hmmm.

THE VISION FOR THE NEXT 15 DAYS…

Saturday we travel to the village. Saturday night we expect to hold a service; a bible study; or worship…something to let the village know we are here and have a message. As we build relationships we hope to tell them the gospel, throughout the day we’ll do stuff with the kids or prayer walks to prepare the ground God will give us for the church. We will scout out land to be donated for the building and looking for a pastor within the village. In partnering with ICM we will all be teaching and loving on this village. ICM has a partner to build a permanent structure when we have 100 believers. Until that happens we will hold service or meetings where ever we can. To build a temporary structure in this village only cost 2,000 dollars. That’s where YOU come in! Below is the link to donate to this structure. To have your hand on building something permanent in the village of un reached people. If we all give a little this WILL happen and then we can move on to a permanent structure; service can be held and people are more likely to come to this temporary structure until the permanent is finished. So click the link donate what YOU can. {This money will go to ICM and not AIM for the purpose of building materials. }

MY HEART FOR THIS…

I’m not sure why I’m so excited about this. God has just put such an excitement there; maybe because we are the first racers to actually start church planting. I know God WILL DO SOMETHING GREAT. My teammates and are stretching our faith and expecting God to show up. So our hearts ARE BELIEVING for 200 believers within the next 7 to 10 days. We are believing that we will be at the dedication service for the permanent structure before we leave ministry on the 20th of April. I believe we are paving the way for something crazy cool to happen in this particular village. We hope to come out of the village within the next 7 or 8 days to give reports of what God has done. WE BELIEVE!!!! Please believe with us, pray with us, donate with us. This will be exciting! God has already moved in my team, planting ideas of things to do, and just casting a vision for the next 15 days of our lives. NO doubt it’ll be great.!
