Im gonna be a little open here and share something i can’t get enough of…Paranormal State. (other shows would be ‘I love Lucy’ and ‘Law & Order). This show is crazy! This team of college kids set out to encounter ghosts and other unexplainble things. When i first started watching it, i thought ‘oh, this is another cool scary show’. The more i watch it the more i see…
From what they say most of this team has had experiances with the other side. They have physically encountered the dead. They’ve each come with their own story. So now they set out to people’s homes. They get to know them and their story. Then they step in to channel the spirits that may be around. Sometimes they are successful and sometimes they are not. Each person has a specific part in what they call ‘dead time’. Supposedly the best time to reach spirits. One person is recording the events, one person is watching the technical stuff, one person does historical stuff/background on people, one person investigates, and the other may go out to another place near by to channel spirits there. They each have a part. The whole process would fail if one person wasn’t there. Its important they are there.
What ive come to realize about this group of people is that they come together for ONE purpose. They attempt to give something to the people who call them. They try to share what they’ve experianced to help those who don’t understand. Their aim is for people to understand what they experiance and help them deal with it. In extreme cases they deal with evil spirits and they bring in the calvary (priests or mediums etc.) to assist them. They want to help explain this life of spirits…As i think more about my team and what we will experiance i can’t help but see similarities. We each are coming from differant paths of life. Experianced differant things and now we’ve come together for one purpose…there is a need. I hope our experiances help us to enlighted the world of just who Jesus is. Each one of us has a differant aspect of Him that we can share with those we meet…each of us is highly important.
My challenge to YOU, the reader is to not be afraid. When opportunity knocks, OPEN THE DOOR. You have a place…you have something to share with the world and those you come in contact with. Don’t live on the shore, head for deep waters!
