Do you ever have those moments when God all of a sudden whispers to you at a time during a time when you mind isn’t even remotely focused on Him?  A time when you are simply doing a daily activity and then God decided to drop this “revelation” on you?

This happened to me the other day as I was retrieving arrows at the archery activity here at the camp in Albania.  It was the last activity with the kids after a great day of swimming, games, remote control race cars, snack times and field games. Supper was right around the corner and, despite the fact that I knew there would be more carbs, my stomach was growling to me.  My eyes constantly were wondering to the watch on my wrist and I quickly noticed that it was already 6:35, 5 minutes passed the whistle singling to clean up and head to supper.  I found my attitude very quickly becoming negative.

It was in that moment that God spoke to me loud and clear for the first time upon arriving in Albania.  He did this through that ‘still small voice’, along with Isaiah 12:4 and Isaiah 13:3.

His voice said “Nikki, I AM here.  Feel My Presence.  Feel my joy, my peace. My love. Pause your crazy life and simply take time to SIT with me. DO not feel guilty for not constantly being with people or with the kids.  By spending time with Me, you will be able to love them (the kids) in a way that you would not have been able to otherwise.  Your weaknesses, is MY strength.”

“In that day you will say, “Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted. Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things, let this be known to all the world.” (Isaiah 12:4)

Isaiah 13:3 states “I have commanded those I prepared for battle; I have summoned my warriors to carry out my wrath-those who rejoice in my triumph.

My world race team consist of 6 other Mighty Women of God.  I am realizing more and more, how fitting our team’s name is.  We are WARRIORS OF LIGHT.  We are ready to bring light upon this world.  God has prepared us-as broken and messed up as we may think we are, we must never forget we are already (and forever will be) ROOTED and ESTABLISHED in God’s love for us. (Ephesians 3:17-19).

God has summoned us.  God has summoned me.  God has summoned YOU to battle.

Warriors, are you ready for battle?  Are you ready for the call God has placed on your life?
