I love to journal. It is a great way to record and remember the things God has taught me and things that HE is teaching me. My trip to Zambia, is no different. I got a new journal that I 'cracked' opened today and started writing in. Within the first few pages, I recorded a prayer to God in a form of a letter to Him that I would like to share. I ask that you will pray this prayer with me now as you read this, and FOR me while I am gone. I can not do this trip without your love and prayers!!
Father I am so pumped for this trip. I don't know what to expect, but I know that with you leading, it will be AMAZING!! Dad, I pray for your continual peace. BREAK MY HEART FOR WHAT BREAKS YOURS. Put me back together piece by piece-into more of an image for YOU Father. YOU ARE KING. I am YOUR precious child. I am YOUR beautiful daughter. You got me. YOU wont ever let me go. I am made in Your image. I will praise You because I AM FEARFULLY and WONDERFULLY made.
God, I can not praise You enough. Thank you for Your love, for the way you have shown it to me lately through family, friends, R squad, music and creation and especially through your ever calming peace! I am so loss without you. Thank YOU for the cross. Thank you for dying for me so that I MAY LIVE. It blows my mind as to why you did it for me-cause I am so undeserving of it-but I thank you for it. Without the cross, without You sending Your Son-I have no life. I have no way to you. God, I thank you. I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU!
Father, I know I am a mess, but I am a holy mess because I belong to YOU. I am trusting you. My life isnt my own. It is Yours and Yours alone. Father I know you have shown me what is GOOD. I pray that I WILL DO what is required of me: SEEK Justice, LOVE mercy and walk humbly with YOU. I love you daddy.
