A squadmate of mine, is a dreamer. That is awesome and I can not wait to be there to see his dreams come true, cause look out world, its going to be awesome!!.
He came up with a list of dreaming with God, for the world race. Things he wants to experience, see and do while racing. I loved it. So thanks Jed for the idea and hope you don't mind that I 'borrowed' it (along with some of your dreams cause when we dream with God-these things WILL happen!)
Tonight, at young adults, I was also reminded to dream BIG with God and it has also been on my mind lately…and so-here it goes!
- Pray for a nation and see it restored
- Love without holding anything back
- See someone who have suffered from a great injustice, get justice that only GOD can give
- To worship with Ukrainians in a way that I (and they) have never worshipped before and for them to realize that God is NOT far and distant-but rather right there with them
- Spend an afternoon/day (whatever I can get) with HIV/AIDS affected kids-to show them a love that they have never experienced before
- Dance with the gypsies (for those that know me, Yes I really DO want to do this despite the fact that I don't dance!)
- Be a mother to a child that never had a chance to have one
- to encourage/bless a prostitute and have her realize that SHE is God's beautiful daughter, made in HIS image
- Skydive (hey, some of them have gotta be for the sake of having fun as well!)
- Sheer a sheep in Ireland (thanks Jed for this idea!!)
- Gather soil (or a stone) from each country
- Be completely broken, open and vulnerable with my squad
- See a lame person walk fully again
- go to mourn a funeral, but stay and witness a revival
- get a tattooo (but sssshh…dont tell my mom!!)
- Have people look at me and 'see Jesus' without me having to say anything
- have my heart broken time and time again for what breaks God's heart
- Ride an elephant
- make a positive impact on the sex trade industry (how this will look-no idea-but trusting God with it)
- be Christ's hands and feet in hardships and victories
- Be on local news
- witness (be apart) of a mass feeding, with little food (remember the story about a little boy's 5 loaves of bread and a few fish?)
- Speak in tongues
- Take an orphans hand in Mozambique/Swaziland
- Have an amazing, life changing encounter with the Living God in Nepal
- See a prostitute come to know Christ in Thailand, on my 25th birthday (BEST BIRTHDAY GIFT EVER!)
- find Home
- Find/discover a new passion in me for the "least of these' and be moved to change
- Be completely wrecked and forced to surrender it ALL to God-each and every day of the race and for the rest of my life
- Heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons
See God use me in WHATEVER way HE sees fit. After all, I am HIS hands, HIS feet.
