I thought I would start of this blog with sharing a bit of my background and what led me to the World Race.
I am 24 years old and during my life time, I have graduated from high school, spent 10 weeks at a capernwray in Sweden my first year out of High school, along with some traveling throughout Europe.  From there, I attended a local bible school where I got my three year B.A in Global Missions.  Through school, I was given the opportunity for ministry in an inner city, on a remote, fly in access only- Native American reserve, and had the chance to serve for 3 weeks with fellow classmates through Action International around Manila, Philippines.  Through my practicum needed for school, I spent 8 weeks in North Eastern Ukraine, working at a local camp ad helping with the small church there.  Upon graduating from college, I had the opportunity April 2011 to be a part of team from my church going to Northern Zambia to work through an organization that reaches out to the widows and orphans of that area.  Kids affected and INfected with AIDS/HIV.  I am SUPER EXCITED to share that in a mere 45 days, I will be returning to Zambia (same area) with another  team from my church!

Each of these experiences, have contributed greatly to who I am today.

So where am I right now? I am working full time at my job and trying to be a light and a blessing there.  I have also started my third year of youth ministry/sponsor ship in my church and my youth continue to bless and encourage and challenge me.  I work with grades 9-12.

I applied for the January 2013 race back in May, however after much debate, prayer and questioning-I realized that the timing for me to leave then, was not good.  God wanted/wants me to take the next step and, once again, get out of my comfort zone that I have fallen into. However-He reminded me that the ministry I am involved in now (youth) is HUGE and that He is not done with me here yet.  There is always more to be done.
With that, I realized July 2013 seemed more reasonable and so here I am!

A year from now, I do not know in which amazing country I will be.  But I am excited for the journey.  I am excited to 'run the race' that God is calling me too.  I know God is going to 'break my heart for what breaks His" and I am excited to see how/when and through who/what, that He does it!

Join me as I race for the finish line.  For the Prize of Jesus Christ.
Walk with me.  Lift me up in prayer.  After all, its ALL FOR THE GLORY OF THE KING
