Hope for the Community Association, a program of Hope Church, is located in Draganesti-Olt, Romania. Milk for Families, Hope for the Community and Hope Church “exist to impact people with the hope of Christ from Draganesti-Olt to the ends of the earth. This philosophy is being spread on local, regional, and international platforms. Our strategy is to utilize people, projects, and partners to fulfill the goal of glorifying God, with the ministry of Christ as our model.”

Hope for the Community runs a program called Milk for Families that supplies 2 liters of milk to five families, weekly, for an entire year.

Marianna, our ministry contact, has been responsible for this project for the last 6 years and within those years the families have been selected based off of word of mouth, the greatest need and if they have children under the age of 5 in the house. The families she has now have been recipients for the last two years.

Hope for the Community pays 1300 lei per year, roughly $500, to supply each family the milk they need for one year. They purchase the milk from a local resident who received the cow from another Hope Church program,The Fishing Rod Project. Milk for Families is funded through the end of December 2015, but not any further.

My squad and I are looking to raise $1115 by November 3, 2015 to make sure this community gets the milk they need for the next two years.

I am still short $450 of my October 31st deadline, but instead of donating to me, please considering heading on over to give.adventures.org and donating to these families.

Oh, watch this awesome video I made 🙂
