Let me just tell you about Raquel. Raquel is one of our translators this month in El Salvador. Our first night here we prayed as a team that we would meet a translator around our age who we could relate to. God answered our prayers with this sweet, joyful, El Salvadorian chick.
She was born and raised here, but much like me she feels the call of the LORD telling her there is more in this world than our day to day lives. So next month she is leaving El Salvador and going to Spain. There she will learn about Bible translation and then will move onto another country to collaborate with a Bible translation project! How cool is that!? When she told me about her mission trip and how she still needed to fund raise I knew right then that I needed to help her in some way!
I decided it would be so cool to share Raquel’s story with a video and a blog all about her mission to help her raise money for her trip. She needs $550 a month for the duration of her trip, which is 10 months. That means she has to raise $5,500 total for her trip.
This may seem like a huge amount of money, but so did $17,717 and God provided that for me. Raquel has worked so hard to earn her money, but she still needs support. I am asking you to partner alongside her and support her with prayer and if possible financial support.
She deserves the chance to go and share the Gospel by literally giving people the Word of God. Please watch this video about Raquel and her mission. If you feel lead to donate you can do so by sending it to her through her GoFundMe page. I will be posting it tomorrow because we were having some technical difficulties.
Thank you for reading this blog, for praying for me and Raquel, and for financially supporting such an amazing journey and an even more incredible woman of God.
Blessings,
Niki Ables
