I’ve been on the World Race for 4 1/2 months now…that is just crazy to me! I honestly feel like it just started!

I have already learned and grown so so much so I decided to write a blog with some of the major lessons I have learned so far. I know I am not even close to finishing all the Lord has planned for me in this season but man I have learned a whole lot already! So here are a few of the big lessons I have learned.

Intimacy, community, and missions is what it’s all about! My life should revolve around growing in intimacy with the Lord, building up and loving the community that I am in, and living on mission for the Kingdom.

I can be and feel rejected…but I must remember that God never has and never will reject me.

Rest is SO important! Even God rested y’all!

My friends and family love me no matter where I am in the world.

I’m not where I wanna be in my walk with the Lord but thank God I am not where I used to be!

Be mission minded all the time. It’s easy to get caught up in the day to day and hustle and bustle of life but if I remember that no matter when and no matter where I am…I am on missions and need to keep a Kingdom mind! Share your story everywhere! All the time! To anyone who will listen!
THATS WHAT HE TOLD US TO DO!

Memorizing scripture has so much value. ‘Hiding it away in your heart’ is something you hear often but it’s so true. There have been many times on the race when I needed to know a scripture and couldn’t remember where to find it or used a scripture I had memorized to share with someone. Or that one time we got robbed in the woods we prayed scripture out loud the whole way out of the woods! Memorize scripture so you can use it and also memorize so your mind is filled with scripture and not the other junk the enemy tries to feed you.

Worship has looked different everywhere I’ve been but as long as I am worshiping Him, I am happy and so is He! I have seen people worship through singing, dancing, jumping, drumming, laying down, sitting down, with a phone, with a guitar, with a pot, with their arms raised, with tears in their eyes, with shouts in different languages, with flags, with babies on their backs and just about everything in between but every time I can see just how much they love the Lord. He is so pleased when His children worship Him and I will never stop!

Just because you know someone for a month doesn’t mean they aren’t family. I now have family ALL OVER THE WORLD!

The trinity is actually THREE in one. I often choose to ignore or forget the Holy Spirit, maybe He is just the hardest for me to relate with but dude He is real and so present in my life! Don’t ignore a third of the trinity like I did for most of my life!

Sharing Jesus is so easy! There is really no excuse not to.
They don’t speak the same language?
Share with a smile and love or with google translate!
They don’t know me?
It’s even easier because then you never have to see them again! Just plant that seed!
I know them really well and they don’t want to hear me tell them about Jesus?
TELL THEM ANYWAYS! Could you imagine what the world would look like if we actually shared our testimonies without fear or a world where we actually have a Kingdom mindset all the time? This world would look so different! Keep this in your mind…sharing Jesus is easy y’all! Just do it! Swallow your pride and jump into a conversation even if it’s hard. You might just change someone’s life or your own life!

This journey is far from over and I have many more lessons to learn but the Lord has already taught me so much! Please keep me and my NEW TEAM in your prayers! If you didn’t know…I am on a new team with four new amazing women! We have already learned so much from each other but we are no where near done! We are currently in Côte d’lvoire, a West African country! Life here is much different than in Central America but I am having a blast! Their culture is so amazing! We will be here until right after Christmas and then we will head to Ghana! We don’t really have wifi so I won’t be posting much! Hope y’all have a blessed week!

Blessings,

Niki
