It’s month four debrief! We are staying at a hostel in beautiful Granada, Nicaragua with the whole squad!

This months debrief our leadership team has really had us working on ownership. They want us to own our race and what we are going to do.

The leadership team has been asking us questions, that Jesus actually asked people in the Bible, and then turning the questions around on us. We then lead our session by discussing what the Lord is telling us about each of the questions. It has been a super cool change of pace, to take complete ownership of our World Race and what we are going to get out of these 11 months.

Yesterday, one of the questions was from Genesis 3:9, in the garden after Adam and Eve commit the original sin, God says, “Where are you?”

Leadership gave us this question along with two others and asked us to pray about the answers.

As I prayed about this question I was reminded of a sermon by Joyce Meyer that my team listened to this past month with our host. Joyce was doing a series over the book of Ephesians and shared something that has stuck out to me ever since then.

She said, “I am NOT where I wanna be, but THANK GOD I am not where I used to be.”

So when I asked, “Where am I, God?” He answered me by reminding me that I am most definitely NOT where I wanna be, especially in my intimacy with Him, but man oh man am I thankful that I am not where I used to be!

This World Race journey is not the end all, be all of my walk with the Lord. When I finish this journey and return back to the States that is not the end…it is only the beginning of a new life with me and Jesus.

I don’t wanna just grow a little and stop. I wanna grow a whole whole lot…and then grow some more!

Where I am at today is not where I was yesterday and it will not be where I am tomorrow!

I encourage everyone who reads this to just remember that! Don’t stop pursuing growth or intimacy because who you were is not who you are and who you are is not who you are gonna be!

Blessings,

Niki
