Today, while I was driving home, I was listening to my favorite radio station, Air 1. Air 1 is a christian radio station, so they often play little snippets of sermons by pastors. Today there was one that really stood out to me and the way things are going right now and how I have been feeling lately sooo I decided to share it in a quick blog. Hopefully it will bring you a little encouragement because it sure did encourage me.
He said, “You wouldn’t give someone directions to your house and only tell them how to get half way there. You would tell them all of the directions to your house so they could get to you. God does the same thing for us. He isn’t going to just help you halfway and then give up on you and forget about you. He is going to see your life through and help you the whole way through until the end.”
WOW! That really hit home with me!
I have had a fantastic summer, don’t get me wrong, but I feel like I have been over stressed and signed up for more than I could handle. Sometimes I look around and think, “Has God left me alone in this? He is no where to be found. I can’t do it all on my own.”
Praise GOD for never leaving my side even when I have strayed and pushed Him away!
He always shows up when I need Him the most. Today, He knew I needed to hear that encouragement. I have been so stressed with my NEVER ENDING to do list and all the anxiety of leaving for the World Race in only 10 days that I have not made time to STOP and LISTEN to Him. So He met me instead. He caught me at a time and place where all I could do was to stop and listen to Him.
So here you go, your encouragement of the day because I know I am not the only one stressed out or anxious about something.
