Happy Mother’s Day mom. This may not be the most conventional way to receive a mothers day card…but a blog is the best I can do from half way around the world.

I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how special and important you are. You are chosen and loved and of immense value in the Kingdom of God.

I don’t have a memory that you are not in or somehow affected.

Not many moms are like you.

You were at EVERY dance recital and competition. You answered EVERY phone call (well almost). You talked me through EVERY heartbreak. You scratched my back EVERY single time I asked. You told me you loved me EVERY day. You let me dream EVERY crazy, outrageous dream and helped me try to reach all of them. You hold my hand EVERY time you can. You accept EVERY mother daughter date night I propose. You got me EVERY box of cheeze it’s I asked for.

You did EVERYTHING for me and you have never stopped.

How could I ever thank you enough for everything you did for me?

I know I’m not the best daughter.

I’m not always there for you, sometimes we fight, sometimes I make you cry, and sometimes I am just plain mean to you. But you are and will forever be my best friend. I’m sorry I’m not the best daughter I could be. But I am trying to be.

I’m sorry I am celebrating your special day so far from home. You deserve one big hug! Can’t today…

But guess what!?

I will be home in less than 40 days…let’s not talk about how I feel about that just yet…but in less than 40 days you can hug me on the couch while we talk about adventures and binge watch all the things you have been recording for me on TV!

I couldn’t do this thing without you and your support from home. Seriously…this race is hard, but you help me through…hand in hand with the Lord.

Thank you for being the best mom ever. Thank you for your constant love and support. Thank you for all your cute messages that I get at the most random times. Thank you for giving me you tender heart and your pretty eyes.

Happy Mother’s Day.

I love you so much.

Blessings,

You favorite daughter
