First of all, thank you all so much for helping me reach my goal (and then some!) of $1000 for February. Thank you once again to those who donated, to those who prayed, and to those reading my blog. Your support does not go without notice or appreciation!
My new goal for March is to reach $3000. It’s daunting– but I’m excited to move forward in anticipation for God is going to do!
I’m writing this post mainly because I have some exciting news. I’m partnering with Threads of Hope to help raise support for my trip and also to directly help families in need living in the Philippines.
I chose this fundraiser initially because it benefits the area of the world I’ll be in– Southeast Asia. And although my squad and I weren’t scheduled to spend a month in the Philippines, I just found yesterday that now we are!
Just as a reminder, here are all the countries that we will be visiting in 11 months: China, Mongolia, Japan, Nepal, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia.
All the bracelets are hand-crafted and designed uniquely by men, women, and children in the Philippines. Making these bracelets provides them with a life-sustaining income and allows these families to thrive in otherwise impoverished areas. This is why they are called Threads of Hope–because each bracelet offers hope to these Filipino families that they can protect their children and provide for themselves within their communities.

Each bracelet is only $2, and as you can see, they are as beautiful and unique as the hands that crafted them. Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing some!
