You love BIG! My how many times I have heard this…
Many times others have not quite known how to receive generous love. They start to question motives, feel uncomfortable with gifts, etc. when the reality is it’s hard sometimes to turn generosity off…wait…is it just me? 😉
Why not be generous in/with what we have been blessed? Make it a lifestyle rather than a random act of kindness.
I have some amazing family and friends. Few in number but mighty in love. You see when they come to me and say my contribution to your missionary adventure is _____________ which fulfills a non-monetary major need in order to save me financial strain, I don’t expect a monetary contribution on TOP of the need itself. I simply have no words other than “Thank you” for provision of this nature. One friend responded with “I’m simply being obedient”. Obedience is greater than sacrifice. How humbling it can be to be in the presence of the LORD through His people.
As I sit here in awe reflecting on how good you are Father, I think of how you love and how you command me to love. Love the LORD your GOD with all your heart, soul, and mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. Can we love with abandon? whole-heartedly? as Jesus loved us? Do you know how much you are loved dear one?
“Heavenly Father, I often forget that I only know in part. You know in full, and You know me fully. You know my beginning and my end and everything in between. Please remind me of my limited perspective. When I need it, and according to Your purpose, may I have a glimpse of Your plan? And even when I can’t see what You are doing clearly, help me trust Your artistry” as I journey forward.
