Woohoo training camp!! Best/worst 10 days of my life in hot hot Georgia. I got to meet all my besties and I can’t wait to live with them in Guatemala in 46 days!! The days consisted of waking up super early after sleeping in a sweaty hot tent (thanks Lucy for sharing your tent with me every night:) and experiencing different foods from all around the world such as Indian food with lots of curry. We even had to eat the food with our hands, use Port-a-potties:)), take bucket showers, had team building activities/games, training sessions, and experienced outstanding worship. Every night the worship was so overwhelming. I never wanted to stop singing. I do have to mention that the last night we had squad wars and never have I (probably most of my team) been so into the “war”. We had games ranging from smashing eggs on people’s heads to dodgeball to popping balloons. In the end, we bonded more than ever and won the squad wars. T-Squad foreverrr<3
One moment from training camp really stood out to me. That was when we all hugged our squad leaders and teammates saying “YES”. That meant we were fully committed to God and this next journey in our lives. I’m so willing to follow Him. Being a disciple of Jesus Christ will cost you everything. He didn’t ask us to comfortable but to be effective. That is what it means to be a Christian – knowing sometimes it will be uncomfortable sharing the gospel or being an example to others. During the World Race, I want to be a light to others and give other people the opportunity to know God. Personally, I want to get deeper with God.
I am FULLY FUNDRAISED!! Praise God!! Thank you for all the prayers, support, and love!!
