This week we have visited many families and seen many miracles. God is working in people’s lives so much. On Wednesday we got to visit a mother of some of the children that go to our ministry. She sits on a chair all day because for two years she hasn’t been able to walk without a lot of pain. She hasn’t been able to work, visit her friends, cook, and help her kids get ready and bring them places. She has been to many doctors and they all didn’t know what was wrong with her foot. Finally last week a doctor said it was a tendon in her foot. The doctor said not to walk on it for a week. When we started talking with her she got so sad that she can’t enjoy life as much as she used to. We all felt God tugging on our hearts to tell her to stand up. She stood up and didn’t have any pain so we told her to walk across the room. She did so with no limp whatsoever. Now she can do everything she has wanted to do. For two years she has had strong faith that she will be healed. She had been praying for a miracle.
On Thursday we met a guy named Claybon. We actually went to see his mother, Stephanie, who we have been visiting for weeks to be fully better (I wrote about her in my first blog here). After we finished praying for Stephanie her son needed prayers. He had been in a car crash in March and is still recovering. His right leg was longer than his left because when he was at the hospital they put his leg back into place wrong. This man has tried to live positively the last few months even though he has a limp. He told us he loves God so much he wants to tell others about his faith. He wants to be a missionary. After we prayed for him many times his right leg was the same length as his left leg. He will now be able to walk with no limp! God is so faithful.
On Tuesday we visited a mother of a girl that goes to our ministry every day. Yolanda, the mother, has many children and a two month old child named Ellison. Ellison has bronchitis and has had it for the past month. They don’t have enough money to go to the doctor or get medicine for him. It makes my heart break that they can’t get him medical attention. When we visited Ellison he couldn’t stop crying and coughing. He was the cutest baby but he was so unhappy. The mother tried to feed him, rock him, and pat his back and nothing made him stop crying. My heart ached for him. But then we went back to their house on Thursday Ellison didn’t cry once. He was awake for some of the time but then fell asleep soundly. Yolanda told us he is getting better. She has never seen him so calm. We think he still has bronchitis but it is going away. We are going to continue to pray. It would mean so much to our team and his family if you guys prayed too. Anything helps to make Ellison 100% better.
Blessings,
Nicole
