My team has lived alone in Asia between Thailand and Myanmar for the past three months. The seven of us have gotten very close and we have had the best times together. In this blog post, I want to share what I love about each one of them.
Lucy
She has been my friend since day one at training camp. She’s a real homie. She has such a heart for others, serving, and leading. She is so selfless and is such a mom on our team. She cleans up after all of us, cleans the house, and always makes sure everything is going right. Her heart is golden and it’s evident she lives for Jesus every day.
Mady
I could laugh and make jokes with Mady for hours. She is so much fun to be around, but she also has a serious, wise side of her. If I need advice with anything, she’s my number one girl to go to. I definitely would tell Mady all my secrets because she is so trustworthy.
Mac
I love Mac with my whole heart. She is always ready to go on an adventure and have a good time, but she also cares for you deeply. She asks how are you are doing and genuinely wants to know. She is a friend you can always rely on and she will never let you down. She wants to know everything about you and she can make friends with anyone.
Erika
Erika is so so wise and smart. She knows the answers to literally any question. I am amazed by how much she knows. She has already finished college and paid off all her college debt. If that doesn’t describe her, I don’t know what else will. She is determined, efficient, and walks with such confidence. I want to be like her someday.
Hannah
Hannah’s jokes…hahaha…they are bad, but we all love them. This past month I have seen Hannah’s personality come to life. She is so silly and funny. This month she and Mady made a Youtube channel if you wanna check them out. Hannah loves everything and everyone. She will come give you a hug and words of encouragement anytime.
Maggie
Maggie is the sweetest. She knows anything and everything about the Bible. You can go to her with all your Bible needs. She is brave about trying new foods and likes just about everything. Maggie is going to do so well in life; she is intelligent and studies hard. I really admire her.
The title of this blog post is Boulders because that is our team name. We decided to call ourselves Boulders at training camp back in July because we wanted to be bold in our faith this year. Our name has been a constant reminder for me to step out of my comfort zone every day. During these next three months in Swaziland, we will be living as a squad (there are about 45 of us) so we will have to intentionally spend time together as a team. I know the friendships I have made on Boulders will last a lifetime. I love you all dearly <3.
Much love,
Nicole
