Our final night in Ungheni we had the big rock concert

night at the Cultural Center, and it was awesome! There weren’t a ton of people there, but it was a great time of worship and celebration of what God had done in our month here. Mike and Sage shared their testimonies, ‘Lines of Heart’ rocked out, and Mike, Sage, and I played a few songs too! Vadim shared about an extreme sports camp they are going to host, and from the VBS money that my church gave for us to use, we were able to offer two scholarships for people to attend the camp who can’t afford it! Thanks kids from back home at Herald Church!!!
They had a grand piano… in tune and everything! So, I got to play that during the concert, and it was like gold at my finger tips! haha. I’d been practicing on a keyboard without dynamics or a sustain petal, so this was an overwhelming WOOOHOOO the day of the concert! It’s not very often I find a piano, and a TUNED piano at that, to play on the race. God allowed me to play a really nice one in a rock concert in Moldova. I just had one of those, “this is really my life” moments. 😉

There’s this Moldovan fairytale character called a ‘gugutsa’ that they likened to a Moldovan Peter pan, and they had a ceramic one made for each of us as a thank you gift for being here with them! It’s so cute! Pray that it makes it home without breaking!!!
So, I really fell in love with the people here. I’m not sure when or how it happened, but it was one of the hardest places to leave. It’s kind of cool, because for the first week and a half I prayed so much for communication barriers to be broken so we could really build relationships with our contacts and the people around us. I didn’t even realize how much God had done that until it was time to leave. I know I’ve said in so many words how I’ve left a piece of my heart in each country, but I think it may have been a slightly bigger chunk this month. The community that God is reviving and restoring here is so beautiful; I’m blessed to have been a part of it, even for three short weeks.
