and Jose!
The day was basically feeding the babies every 2 hours, along with a bath and bed sheet change in the morning. Feeding was pretty much a half hour to hour process, with burping, dirty diapers, giggles and screams. You know… all the fun baby stuff!
We wore scrubs and face masks for our protection, but I still loved these little babies to pieces! I fell in love with Jose. Like seriously: I had to keep reminding myself that he wasn’t an orphan, and that even if he was, I wasn’t allowed to adopt while on the race. J

I spoke God’s promises of hope. I prayed life over him, that God’s healing hand would keep him safe, and make him healthy and whole again. I reminded Him that he was a man of God, that the Lord has great plans for His life, that God chose Him to be a mighty voice in his hometown of Antigua! I didn’t only speak it, I believe it with all my heart. God has a plan for Jose, and I’m beyond blessed to have had 8 hours to be a part of that little dudes life.
When we had a group worship session last night, Melina mentioned how working with the babies reminded her of God’s amazing love for us, how He’s constantly cleaning up our poopie diapers and singing over us, and loving us like crazy even when we’re hysterical sobbing messes. I thought a lot about that today as I held Jose. I’m completely blessed to intercede into these babies lives, and even more blessed to be reminded of how great the Father’s love is for us.
