From Kids to Kids

My home church, Herald GB Church in Modesto, CA decided to have my World Race team’s ministry as their mission’s spotlight for Vacation Bible School this year! The VBS theme was High Seas Expedition, with their outreach focus being on Street Kids. The five points for each of the five days of VBS were based out of Psalm 119: God’s Word is True, Comforting, Surprising, Life-Changing, and For everyone. So, I made this cheesy video for them to play one night at VBS. J

The kids at Herald Church raised A LOT of money for us to use towards ministry, and we are SO excited to get to use it towards projects throughout the rest of our world race journey! Since I used a lot of pictures from one specific visit to a gypsy village, I asked Pastor Zsombor if we could go back to that village on our last day to give out gift bags to the children. I kind of had to work hard to make it all happen before we left Tirgu-Mures, but we were able to do it!  We bought soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, cookies, candy, notebooks, and pens to make about 40 little goodie bags for the children. Plus, we printed this picture of the kids on a bridge from the first visit, and wrote out Psalm 25:4-5 on the back in both Hungarian and English!
