The Cicrin Orphanage here in Ometepe Nicaragua has already blessed my socks off.

When I arrived, all I could do is think how beautiful this place is! It has a very tropical vibe (humidity included) and we all agreed that there is such a sense of peace about this place. Senora Helen, who runs the orphanage, is the sweetest little lady ever! We were warmly welcomed and shown to our rooms for the next month.

Welcome to my back yard!
 Welcome to my front yard!

Ya, that’s right: Lake front property, complete with a dance floor and hammocks, on a farm with gardens and crops on a tropical island on lake Nicaragua!  God is So good!  Before you get too jealous, that comes complete with loads of bugs, including mosquitos, gnats, ants, lizards, mice in the rooms, cold showers, and lots and lots of humidity.  But to me: it´s totally worth it!

The first night after arriving, one little girl Julietta and I bonded at dinner. We quickly realized we both loved dancing, and after showing me some of her moves, she grabbed my hand and strolled me down to where the girls were having a dance rehearsal for church!  She attempted to teach me a little of it, but they already had the whole song down. I’m pretty sure I looked like the crazy gringo girl off in la la land having way too much fun without knowing what was really going on… but I had a blast and I’m sure I made for good entertainment, at least!

These young ladies are breathtaking when they are dancing for their precious Lord!  I absolutely LOVED being apart of that, and I’m even more excited to watch them during performance time!  They opened the evening with prayer… and for how young they are they are full of the spirit of the Lord!   They are anointed to bring Glory to our King, I was in awe!

I was honored to be there worshipping the Lord along side of them!   All of these children sing and dance like it’s as natural as breathing; it’s SO beautiful!
