Geographical Update:
We are back in Cusco, Peru after being allowed to experience the greatness and History of Machu Picchu! Praise to Jesus for safe travels and that the chest cough that is currently in my body has not really took out much of my energy!
Water has always been so beautiful to me. The lake is my favorite place to visit back home, and growing up we had a pool in the backyard for most of my life. I’ve been to the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean, as well as many lakes and pools across the United States. I live for summer Fridays at the Montessori because I get to run around in the sprinkler and watch joy spread across my kiddos faces. Some of my favorite memories as a child are weekends spent in the pool surrounded by friends and family members. Rain brings me so much peace and comfort. The water is a gift that God has allowed me to experience for my entire life.. and yesterday He reminded me of how much he loves me through that element.
John 7:38 NIV
”whoever believes in me, as scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them”
Let that verse set your soul on fire.
I read this verse as I peered out of the window in our hostels common room.. the river flowing ever so fiercely yet with such elegance. How loved are we that we get that same gift flowing through us because we are His. We receive his power, his vigor, his water.. which all in the same essence is his peace, his beauty, and his humility.
Our team said our goodbyes to those who hosted us, stopped at the market, and made our 6 mile hike to Hidroelectrica.
And what do you know.. the Lord blessed us with rain to walk in, to laugh in, and to cherish Him in.
Because life is not about waiting out the storm, it’s about learning how to dance in the rain.
