As many of you know and have already graciously given, I’ve had to do quite a bit of fundraising for this trip. I’ve been fortunate enough that I’ve met most of the financial deadlines set by AIM pretty quickly. God is faithful to provide for those He sends.
That being said, I’m stepping out and asking for more help. Asking for money used to be uncomfortable and felt wrong. But if you don’t ask how can you receive? God has called me along with countless others to go. He calls some to go and some to give. We both are building kingdom.
As it gets close to the end of the year (can you believe it’s November?) I know people think about end of the year donations, so start praying and see where God leads you to give.
Without further ado, here’s how you can help:
First, while I’ve met my financial deadlines I’m yet to be fully funded. I need $2,500 to finish the Race. Click here to support me.
Second, some of my World Race teammates are still in need of financial support. There’s no question as to why God has called them to this Race. He will provide the money, but I’m stepping out and asking for some help. Read more about my teammates, Bambi Bigley and Heather Dodge, and support them by going to their blogs.
Last, I had the beautiful blessing of staying with a missionary family from the states in Budapest the past two weeks. I’ve mentioned them in a previous blog and they were true examples of Christ. They’re committed to Hungary and are doing incredible work and building relationships. They have two precious boys and were still willing to open up their home up to 7 complete strangers. The Long Family is still in need of support. To donate go to their blog and on the right hand side there is information on giving.
So there you have it! The harvest is plentiful and the workers are few. These workers are faithful in what God is doing around the world. Why not give up your daily Starbucks for a month or forego one Christmas present this December and help send these missionaries out to share Christ’s love.
