I’ve mentioned before how on the Race flexibility is crucial as nothing is set in stone. Once again, plans have changed and our race route has been altered. It’s been difficult for our logistics team to get so many of us into the Middle East and to stay for 3 months. So we will spend one more month in Eastern Europe and then K squad will head to Turkey in November while J squad is in Israel and then in December we will flip countries. Then again, next month I could be telling you that changed too. Who knows.
When I first found out we wouldn’t be in Egypt next month I was upset. Shortly after I got this vision where I saw God laughing at me in a lighthearted manner. He just smiled at me and said “I had to get you here somehow.” It couldn’t be truer. A big pull to the Race for me was Egypt; a place I’ve been dying to go for years. However, God’s plans are bigger for me this month.
Nevertheless, we got an incredible opportunity to pray into where we felt God was leading us in Eastern Europe for ministry next month. I still struggle with hearing God’s voice and feeling the leading of the Holy Spirit. This time it was so strong where I was going to be this month and it’s made me so excited.
In case you weren’t aware, I’ve been back in Romania since Monday for a World Race first, The Awakening Conference where January, June and both August squads along with staff and alumni have gathered to worship and learn. It’s been beyond incredible and God has really stirred some things up in my heart. It was cool to watch the teams pray into where we would go next month.
Tomorrow I’ll leave Romania and my team along with Team Goodness.Gracious will hop on a train to Budapest, Hungary. We aren’t sure what we’re doing or even where we’re staying yet. Normally that would freak me out but I have this peace in my spirit of God’s provision for His children.
