Me…
My name is Nicole Marett. I’m 22 years old and was born and raised in
beautiful Austin, Texas. Like any true Texan, get me talking about the
Lone Star State and I could go on for hours, I’m slightly obsessed with
Austin. I graduated in May from Baylor University (Sic ‘Em
Bears!) with a journalism degree and am equally as obsessed with Baylor
as I am with Texas.
My Family…
I’m a proud older sister to my sister, Jordan, who’s 19 and my ‘baby’ brother, Tyler, who’s 14 and growing up too fast! My sister is a sophomore at TCU majoring in Theater and Radio, TV, Film and my brother is a freshman in high school.
I’m close to both of my parents. My mom and I are a lot a like and she’s one of my very best friends. I get my sarcasm from my Dad.
My Friends…
God has blessed me with some amazing friends and I don’t feel this section is complete without introducing them to you. Without further a due allow me to introduce some important people in my life:

Angela and I grew up together, she is a lifelong friend. We attended the same church and schools since we were in 3rd grade. We don’t get to see each other as often as we’d like but we remain each other’s rocks.
Jill and I met my sophomore year of college in our first journalism class. We have been attached at the hip ever since. We both spent our last semester of college together in New York. She is an aspiring photographer and just moved back to New York City.
Meet Elise, Lacey, Jenifer, Whitney and Joanna. These girls are crazy, in the best way. We met through our sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, quickly became friends and are known as the ‘Fonda’s.’ They each have taught me so much, but most of all that life should be enjoyed and full of laughter, the more the better! Jen and I are the oldest of the group and she is also doing missions. She’s serving in Wales for 6 months beginning in August. The rest of the girls are finishing their last year of school at Baylor.
My college roommates Stephanie (L) and Sara (R) were sent from God and we ended being roommates due to random circumstance. We are very different but that’s what makes our friendship so special and they’ve taught me a lot about community.
My Savior…

I grew up attending church with my mom. At an early age, I came forward one Sunday at church, accepted Christ and was later baptized. I don’t think I fully understood that decision. At youth camp when I was 13 I began to see the need for a Savior and my youth director lead me to Jesus. Since then life has been a series of ups and downs. I spent a few years in high school doing things my way, which left me feeling emptier than before. Leaving home for college I consider a defining moment in my faith. I no longer had to go to church out of obligation but because it was a way to honor and follow my King.
A Few of My Favorite Things…
