It seems like yesterday our plane landed in Nairobi, Kenya and I was greeting Africa. I’ve wrapped up my 7th month, and my 2nd month in Africa. March is our last African country.

I’ve already left Kitale, Kenya and we made a brief stop in Jinga,
Uganda as a squad. We got to go white water rafting on the Nile River
and it was pretty incredible despite some near death experiences, or so
it felt like it being thrown by the rapids.

I’m currently in Mwanza, Tanzania with my team and living and doing ministry with Team Oasis. We haven’t been with a team in a while so there’s definitely some adjusting happening. We will be in Mwanza until the 31st. From there we will head back to Nairobi one last time for a few days of rest. We fly out of Nairobi for Bangkok on April 3. We will have our last debrief (before final debrief at the end of the year) which will include cultural briefing for Asia as well as re-entry information. It’s crazy to think about coming back home. I waver between being extremely ready to return and being apprehensive about returning. The famous question always seems to be what are you doing next? As of right now I have nothing really all that solid.

Please continue to pray for our team. February was really great in terms of growth for our team. Next month our team will be splitting up for ministry. The boys will be heading to Western Thailand for a month of ‘manistry,’ Heather and Bambi will be working at an orphanage together with 2 other girls, then Bethany, Birkleigh and I will be with 11 other girls on our squad working in the bars in Phuket, Thailand (which I’m extremely excited about). Needless to say, I didn’t think our team, of all teams, would be sad about parting. Being with another team this month has made me realize how well my team knows each other. We know each other’s quirks, when we’re having tough days, we even joke we can all pick out each other’s underwear in the laundry pile. God had a reason for us being together and I know He has a reason for us being apart.

So enough babbling. Here are some of my favorite picture from the month of February in Kitale, Kenya. The majority of these pictures are from our day spent at the school that’s a part of the church ministry:
