The other night in our team time, the time each evening we
gather as a team to talk about the day and encourage each other, Emily shared
what she wrote on New Years Day in her journal while reflecting on the Race
thus far and pondering what the next half of the Race will look like. The journal entry included a list of “What
If?” statements with the intention of dreaming BIG and not limiting but expecting
great things from God in 2012.
Knowing nothing is too BIG for God and the bible
promises “Ask and it will be given, seek and you will find” we all wrote “What
If?” lists of our own. Here’s mine (in
no particular order)…
What if I only saw myself as God sees me?
What if I didn’t allow food to control me?
What if I gave away all my savings and fully trusted in
God’s provision?
What if all my family members knew the unconditional
love of Jesus?
What if we prayed everyday for the rest of the Race for my
team leader, Steven’s hearing to be restored?
What if I only saw others with God’s eyes?
What if I meet my husband through this experience?
What if the necklace I gave CJ brings him to Christ and
changes his life forever?
