Soul Graffiti has safely arrived at our ministry location here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We will be working at a restaurant that employs refugees and we will be teaching english at the Burma/Myanmar refugee schools. All in all this is going to be a very eventful, exciting month.

Here are a few photos of our time here so far…

Welcome to Kennedy’s an American style restaurant in KL. We will be waiting tables, running the cash register, clearing dishes and just helping out with whatever needs to be done to make this place a cozy corner for college students to hang out.

An amazing painting of KL. I love how many different colours were used. Definately check out the art in KL’s central market if you’re into that kind of thing. They have everything from oil painting on canvas to caricature artists.

A man who lives in the apartment where team Rooted is staying. Rooted will be working with the same contacts at their other restaurant, The Can’teen.
I loved the light in this photo.

The kitchen at The Can’teen. I was able to help clear plates and serve soup there for an hour the other day. During peak hours hardly ever stopped ringing. You can definately count on one thing both Rooted and Soul Graffiti will be eating good this month. The Malaysian food at The Can’teen is delicious and food at Kennedy’s is like a little slice of home.

Our home for the month of April. A cozy apartment on the 5th floor with 3 bedrooms, 2 bath, a cute little kitchen and a small living room complete with a couch and a tv. We are sharing the apartment with 2 guys who work at Kennedy’s.

And that’s just a taste of what our month will look like!
