This is Soul Graffiti’s last weekend here in beautiful Malaysia and we will be spending our time ministering in a village 5 hours away until Sunday. We will be the very first World Race team to go in and visit this particular village so part of our ministry there will be checking out the area as a potential ministry site for future teams.

Our team will quite literally be stepping into the unknown. We’ve spent the last couple of days fasting and in prayer, asking God to guide our words and our steps as we enter the villages. We’ve all been asked to deliver a sermon and over the last couple of days we’ve been studying our Bibles and asking God what he wants us to say. Almost all of us are still struggling with it but we’re also trusting that God keeps his promises and he will give us the words to speak when we need to speak them.

Entering the unknown used to scare me a lot. I guess in many ways it still does. But I can also say that I have seen from experience the blessing that such an action can bring. When you take a step of faith and drop into the arms of God, safe and sound it gives you concrete proof that God really does have good plans for us. It makes us bold enough to do it again, to take a bigger step and a little bit farther.

Before I began the World Race one of my biggest fears was going to Asia. I have now been away from home for 4 months and 3 of those months have been spent in Asian countries. When I think back about the fears that I entertained before and all of the ‘obstacles’ that nearly kept me from applying for the race I am acutely aware of how weak they are in comparision to the reality. The reality is I love Asia, I have enjoyed it more than I ever imagined I would and I am looking forward to spending time in both India and Nepal in the next 2 months.

But back to Malaysia…
Please pray that we find a valuable resource/contact in the area so that WR can continue to send teams to Malaysia without overworking the amazing contacts we already have set in place.
