This is a blog that will continually be updated with things that God has done in my life and in the lives of others around me since the beginning preparations of this missions trip>>>
Since I signed up for this mission trip things have begun to happen and I just wanted a continual record of the power of an amazing and awesome God. A God who is in control of everything in my life and the life of others around me.
1. A father who hasn’t prayed for years…to a father who continually prays for my safety (and probably for me to change my mind).
2. A peace about the funds needed for the mission trip to come…God wants me to go on this trip and He is in total control.
3. Amazing friends who came out to a car wash fundraiser to either help wash cars or have their cars washed, which brought in a total of $385.
4. A change in my sister’s heart…can’t explain what exactly happened, but she truly is different…LOVE YOU SIS!!!
5. A lease that ends at the end of November…gives me the opportunity to move in with an amazing girlfriend and with my amazing family before taking off for a year.
6. An overwhelming sense of love from my coworkers…they are fighting for my position to be here when I come back.
7. A great review from my boss this year…keeping me contingent so that it is easier to hire be back, that is depending on the economy.
8. Friends who support me both by building me up and by encouraging me.
9. Random checks in the mail…some from friends some from strangers…God is a miracle worker.
10. A yard and bake sale that provided $755 for this ministry.
11. Opportunities to do three different bible studies this summer to fill me up before leaving…highly recommend the Truth Project to anyone!!!
12. Great opportunities to talk with coworkers and complete strangers about my heart and why I am going on this trip.
13. Building of patience as I eagerly wait and actively wait for funds to come in.
14. Spiders appearing in my apartment, which has given me practice in killing them with anything I can find nearby…YUCK!!!!
15. A closer friendship with a dear friend as we cope with this new challenge in front of us together…Love You Leisa!!!
