Leaving For Our Ministry

Preparation to leave Matamata and go to our ministry location was quit an ordeal. A lot of communication must happen as well as a lot of prayer. While being on the ministry field we are given a very small budget and must work together as a team to make it work.

The first day of our ministry was Saturday and we already had an ordeal early on. The bus we were able to find could only get us 1 hour away from our initial location which left us another half hour to go with no money left to get to our final location. We were to leave Matamata around 7pm to get dropped off at a near by bus station. Once arriving people scrambled to different locations, some were getting pictures near the Hobbiton sign while some went to gas stations trying to scrounge up anything they could as a snack. The 40 minutes at the bus station flew by and before we knew it the bus pulled up.

Upon arrival the bus driver was taken by surprise when a total of 24 young adults stood waiting outside with their hiking bags ready to load. The ride went better than expected and before we knew it the bus driver was volunteering to drop us off at our location. Praise the Lord!!!

Before we knew it we were setting up our own tents as well as our fellow teammates tents in the dark. Once they were set up we all headed in for a good night sleep.
