Hey Y’all 🙂
As you may know, I am a senior and will be graduating on May 26th, 2016! I have decided that I will be taking a year off before I make a decision as to where I want to pursue my future college career. I found my heart telling me to take an incredible opportunity and learn anything and everything I can from it. So instead of sitting around for a whole year I have decided to go on a little adventure and further God’s kingdom through missions!
Starting in August, I will be embarking on an incredible journey. I will be participating in a program called The World Race Gap Year, which is a mission trip that travels to three different countries in nine months. The World Race is joined by their parent company Adventures in Missions and with a team of mission minded individuals I will be headed to Guatemala, Cambodia and Lesotho. While on this mission trip, my team and I will embark on numerous projects from growing/building relationships with orphans to construction work. We will provide help in any way possible such as helping a local clinic or refugee camp, cooking meals, teaching hygiene, but the most important to me is teaching children that there is love in the universal language of smiling, making silly faces and doing funny dances! 🙂
It hasn’t hit me yet that in about four months I will be leaving my friends and family to go on a nine month mission project that has the potential to change not only my life but the people whose lives we touch in each country by giving them hope and joy. I would like to ask for you to please participate in this journey with me through support in any way, shape or form. Making this decision was easy for me because my heart, mind and soul are 100% invested. However, paying for it is going to take some help. This is something that I have been looking forward to since I made my decision and it is very near and dear to my heart. The funds I must raise will go towards the expenses of the trip and the projects we will be working on. As I’m sure you can imagine, a nine month mission trip is not cheap and I would be extremely thankful for your support. My goal is $13,805.00 for this trip and anything you are willing to offer will mean the world to me!
