I’ve been called to live in discomfort (After Training Camp blog)

Hey beautiful people; I have survived Training Camp. I’ve never experienced so many feelings and thoughts in just one week. Two days later I’m still processing everything. I experienced cold nights without sleep (too much cold for a Puerto Rican), awesome worship times, eye opener lectures, an incredible community/family, beautiful leadership, lots of exercise, and physical discomforts (exercises with a swollen knee and foods that were too weird for me).

I got to understand what God wants me to experience and learn in this year to come. I have to let go all of my comforts, not just the physical ones but also the emotional and spiritual ones. I realized this, right in the middle of the worship; I felt broken. I was starting to feel a little bit of the grieving due to the abandonment I was facing; I was starting to walk towards the brokenness and abandonment I’m going to face everyday in the World Race. That brokenness and abandonment are the main things in the process of dying to myself and letting Jesus to live through me.

So I’m facing a great challenge this year, but my goal is that through this process I will be able to be an ambassador of Jesus, showing an unconditional love living first for others, knowing that God has all my desires and needs in his hands. This verse is my goal:

So I will very gladly spend for you everything I have and expend myself as well. If I love you more, will you love me less?                                                                                                  –2 Corinthians 2:15
