It’s been about a week and a half since my squad arrived in Swaziland and boy let me tell ya is it beautiful here. We’re living in dorm style rooms that have a view of a great mountain range that separates Swaziland and South Africa. My team shares a large room and a bathroom. Our kitchen is located in the room right next to ours and is where we cook and eat all of our meals. We’ve had a variety of different meals since being here including spaghetti, hotdogs and hamburgers, French toast, and various other things that we might enjoy at home. The girls dorms are next to ours and there’s a place to hang hammocks behind our house.

Ministry is pretty awesome… on Mondays we go to a missionary couples house and get to hang out with them and spend the night there. Then in the morning we get to go to a nearby prison and teach and give testimonies to the inmates. We get to pour into them and them us. The rest of the week we go to care points and get to do various things like play with kids or do whatever manual labor they have available for us to do.

On Saturdays we have freedom to do whatever we want adventure wise which isn’t a lot because there isn’t really much to do besides hang out and play card games with each other and relax and hangout with Jesus. On Sunday’s we go to a Swazi church which is about a 20 minute walk and we get to experience Swazi worship and Swazi service which is honestly incredible. Once you get past the heat and the loudness of the speakers it’s a great time.

So that’s what Africa is looking like so far and I’m so excited to give you guys more updates soon about what Africa has in store!!
