So this blog is going to be just a little bit of insight into the ministry ill be doing this month!! My team and I have been in Myanmar for about a week now and honestly it’s incredible! We’re staying with a family in their apartment in Yangon which is in the southern part of the country. Yangon is very much so a bustling city with a population of 5.21 million people its always busy and loud!
We’re staying with an amazing Christian family, teacher Mang and teacher Ruth. They’re some of the most loving people I’ve ever met… they have a 7 month old daughter named Shelly and she is easily one of the cutest babies I’ve ever seen in my life. They have an English school that we’ll be helping teach in and our main goal is to disciple the students that we get to teach. This looks like having 1on1’s and just being intentional with the time we have with them. We also pass out fliers for the English classes to young people that we meet on the street and encourage them to learn English. Myanmar is a practically untouched people group since their borders were closed to foreigners into a few years ago.
