I have recently made the decision to leave the comfort of my home and the security of my family to live out of a backpack for nine months. After a thorough and expensive application process, I have been selected to be a part of a team traveling the world on a service oriented mission.

I have left the job that I enjoyed at Bass Pro Shops and accepted a position with a landscaping company. My hope in doing this is that not only will I be more physically prepared but also learn and take additional skills with me on this trip, skills I know will add value to the team I am joining.

In order to raise funds and make sure I am on that plane leaving for South Africa I have begun the process of selling my Jeep and other personal items. It is humbling and also very motivating.

My hope is to be inspired by this amazing opportunity and to inspire others to do something different if they are not happy with where they are in life. This trip will be a very personal journey but I cannot do it on my own. I will need the support and encouragement of those around me to help make this happen.

I am so excited for this adventure and next step in my life.

You can follow me and even contribute to my trip here at my Blog site!

Regards,

Nick Hebert
