I have been in Ecuador for just about a week now. When we arrived we had an event called Awakening. There was my squad (gap P), Gap L And an 11 in 11 squad called fusion. For about 3 and a half days we three squads lived together and had time to just relax and rekindle our spirits for the next few months. There were sessions and group worship in the mornings and evenings. It was all around an awesome experience with amazing people.
Now time for ministry. As we were listening to find out what our ministries were. We were all finally ready to find out.
My team will be working with an organization that does a before school program as well as an after school program. But for a few weeks we will be gardening and helping get them prepared to garden on their own.
I am so excited for these next three months because I’ll be working with kids between the ages of 7 and 11 primarily. Now I know this is a shorter blog but I wanted to update you all about Ecuador thus far!
So with that.
The organization is lacking in some things as we will soon find out what. As time goes on needs will arise But they are more than happy to have us there with them. As ministry continues we are all super excited to put as much as we can into it. But we will need some help to purchase things. Like sports equipment, school supplies, snacks and maybe some other stuff for fun activities with the kids.
