This will be short and sweet. I firmly believe that there are three keys to success in any area of life. Success isn’t defined as monetary wealth or anything of the sort. In this context, success is defined as being the person God calls you to be. If you follow these three steps, I can guarantee you that you will find success in life.
1. Know WHO you are
Finding out your strengths, weaknesses, passions, and calling are vital in living life to its fullest potential. By knowing what kind of person you are, you will be able to conquer any hurdle in your way to success. Knowing yourself will allow you to analyze your life, find out what needs to be changed, and making the change necessary in the shortest amount of time.
Knowing who you are also entitles your label. Know that you are the son or daughter of two parents that more than likely love you more than you will ever know. Know that you already are, or will be, the father or mother of beautiful children. Know that you have best friends and will likely serve as someone’s best friend. Don’t take these roles lightly. Each label you possess impact those who come in contact with you under that label. Your role as an individual is very important to everyone around you.
2. Know WHOSE you are
Finding your identity is important, but finding your role in Christ is even more important. As life whips you in many different directions, it is important to stand strong in God and not let anything stand in the way of your relationship with Him. You may be a doctor, lawyer, teacher, businessman, you name it. Your jobs will change as will your bosses and co-workers, but God will never change. You are a child of God. Keeping that in mind every step of the way will ensure your success.
3. Spend less than you make
By spending less than you make, you are ensuring financial success. The number one cause of not being successful in any facet of life is financial instability. Don’t let money and the lack of self control keep you from being a successful individual. By spending less than you make, you are also setting your kids and grand kids up to be financially successful. Part of being a successful individual is passing on your success to those who come after you. Financial responsibility will allow you to do just that.
I hope all is well in your life and that you take these three keys to success to heart.
