18 months ago I pulled up to White Water Express in Copperhill, TN and began my WR Training Camp as a neophyte to Adventures in Missions. 3 weeks ago, I was standing in front of 210 racers welcoming to THEIR training camp, and shockingly, I was in charge.  What happened in those 18 months? Well, I did go around the world and back….

Welcome to Training Camp

Being on this side of Training Camp, my experience was completely different, but so worth it. Instead of arriving day of with wonder in my eyes, I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off to ensure that this next batch of World-Changers are adequately prepared to embark on their journeys.

I was non-stop for 10 days, printing thousands of papers, laminating nametags, running to Wal-Mart, setting up sound equipment, organizing a serve team, and everything in between. I literally had a clipboard of to-dos every day.

I was piecing together the exact thing that changed my life 18 months ago.

And was it worth it?

Every second of it.

I got to watch was 210 men and women show up at a camp with all sorts of reasons for going on the race, and after 7 days, know that they are going out to bring the Kingdom of God to this earth.

These men and women are going to change the world one life at a time. They are going to love people who have never been loved, clothe those who are without clothes, and heal those who are broken.

Looking official with our walkie talkies

All of the work put into these 7 short (well, they felt long) days was absolutely worth it. Instead of preparing myself to go out to one location and reach a small number of people, I saw 210 people answer the call and say “yes” to reaching this world. And these men and women aren’t going to reach a few number of people; they are going to impact THOUSANDS of lives across 6 continents.

Let that sink in for a minute.

As we worshipped under the pavilion roof, I was standing alongside a group of revolutionaries that are literally going to impact the World.

As I stood in the midst of upcoming and alumni racers worshipping the Creator of the Universe, I knew that all the blood, sweat, and tears of the previous 2 months were absolutely worth it.

And I was humbled to be with so many courageous sons and daughters of the King of Kings.

If you would like to support me as I prepare more groups of World Changers, click on the support me link on the left! I still have several thousand dollars in order to continue working at Adventures for the next year. Thank you!
