Before you read any further, watch this:
A few hours ago, in a coffee shop far, far… down the street. Six God, fearing, caffeine seeking inividuals united together over a 2 for 1 special. They entered alone, but emerged as new creations.
Jamie Ham. Some know her as Himae, Himes, Hamster, Hermione, and Finance. She is now known as Lady Reliance, who not only relies on the Lord but on her family.
Ashley Caple, our resident card shark, is our Queen of Heart. As she's shuffled into a new deck, she's ready to reveal her hand and show us her heart!
Nicole Ransom desires more emotion than an intergalactic robot. Therefore she shall now be known as Caption Cultivating Christ Centered Community Preferring Others, or C6P0.
Emily Bouche was originally made in Wisconsin but is now made of Honor… instead of cheese.
Nick Rice has been desiring more than the average friendship and sick of hiding behind closed doors. He is now known as… Pvt. Intimacy!
Steven Reed, after seeing all the lonely hearts of the 60's, desired to go deeper, and in his pursuit became… Sgt. Peeper! (He thought the word "deeper" was actually "peeper", and the name stuck).
And when our powers combine, we form:
FAMILY FORCE SIX!

Yep, we wore speedos and capes (aka REI pack towels) to introduce our team to the rest of our Squad. Yes, it’s going to be a ridiculous year of funny pictures. And yes, my name is Private Intimacy. But it’s also going to be a year full of growth and fellowship. Our team desires us to bond so much this year, and become like a family.
I’m excited to have Nicole on my team still, and the others are great as well. Steven is one of my best friends on the race, and we get along pretty well, as you can see from our mutual idea to bring a speedo on the race…
I’ll be honest, I don’t know too much about Emily, Jamie, and Ashley yet, but I can assure you they are all awesome women of God who want to see Christ proclaimed around the world. I can’t wait to get to know them and see their hearts.

In other news, we’ve made it to Albania! After 4 continents in 3 days, a trip to Target in NYC, and overnight trips on buses and airplanes, we are safe in Korce (pronounced Korcha), Albania. We will be working with Campus Crusade at a university here, and I can’t wait! Cru was a huge part of my life back in the states so I’m excited to have a month-long summer project here. Our team is split into pairs at different houses, so Steven and I are sharing an apt with 3 guys, and we have to eat out at every meal. The country is beautiful, but the weather is a little chilly (today was hovering in the high 30s, low 40s. Yep, I’m gonna freeze these next 2 months). Regardless, there are people here who need to hear about Jesus, so we’ll take on the cold
