So last month, we had an all squad month, so all 53 of us were living together. We partnered with Mission of Hope, which is a pretty big missions organization involved in everything from orphan ministry, door to door evangelism, and earthquake relief. Door to door evangelism comprised most of our ministry time. We’d go out to a village and just talk to people, get to know them, and share God’s love with them. We did get to organize a 3 day VBS type program for the kids and youth living on the Mission of Hope campus. It was awesome to see how some once closed, stand offish youth opened up over the course of those 3 days. We also spent alot of afternoons playing with kids in the different villages which was a blast. One of evangelism highlights, was an older woman we spent an afternoon talking with. She literally didn’t know what sin was or that she had sinned. It was the first time my team and I got to share the Good News from ground zero which was awesome! She didn’t give her life to Jesus while we were with her, but the seed’s definitely been planted and we’re trusting God to bring the increase. Much of Haiti is still under the dark oppression of the enemy, but it can’t stand against the light of the Father’s love!
