Hello Readers, Blog Followers and Everyone else,
First thank you so much for reading this it seriously means the world to me. Since this is the "About" section let me tell you about myself.
I got into World Race through a string of different decisions and influences that many people like to refer to as a "God thing" which I think is such a great description. The last 2 years of my faith has been such a whirlwind of growth and excitement where God has blessed me with amazing community and support to help me grow and get to this point. I just want to say right here that 2 years ago I would have laughed if you would have told me that I would be going on a trip as extensive and crazy as this, have hope and be faithful God could call YOU next.
I graduate/graduated, depending on when you read this, from Texas A&M May 13, 2011 with a degree in Finance. I could not have gone to a better school and will bleed maroon until I die. I have no idea what I want to do with my life and am thrilled, right now, about that. I can't wait to see what God will introduce into my life next.
I have the best family and friends anyone could ask for. They care and support me in everything I do, no matter how ridiculous or crazy it may seem. I honestly get choked up just thinking about how amazing they are. I definitely do no deserve them, but do my best to be a good friend and remember birthdays, listen when they talk, and all of that other stuff a friend does. Basically my friends are better than yours :).
Little random facts about me: I swam in highschool, but quit after my sophmore year because I got burned out. I love to read a lot, my favorite book is the Bible, just kidding, but really its a good book. I like to read science fiction and anything that takes me back to the midievalish times of chivalry and sword fighting. Some of the book series I enjoy are Harry Potter, The Eye of the World, and Mark of the Lion to name a few. One of my favorite pass times is grabbing coffee with a friend and just relaxing and catching up with them. I would be killed if I didnt menton brotime. For those unfamiliar with this term it means a time when lots of bros(men) hangout together, watch sports, yell, cook and eat meat, and most likely wrestle and dont have shirts on, it rocks. I love to be active. This involves any sports, biking, rock climbing, lifting heavy things, or running. I am hooked on movies and my best friend collects and knows everything about them, probably why I am hooked.
That is a little insight into my life. I will do my best to be as honest and truthful over this journey we are taking as I can. It will be emotional, enlightening, and awesome. God will be working in both our lives over the course of the next 16 months of support raising, prayer, and traveling to do God's work.
The hardest thing I will go through over this time period is being away from my friends and family, it is what I am most terrified of.
