Dear Friends and Family,
I come to you today at an exciting time in my life. I have just graduated from Texas A&M University and have no idea what I want to do in my life. One thing I do know, though, is that God has seriously been working in my life over the last two years; it has been amazing! The things He shows us when we have but a little faith are incredible. The reason I am writing to you now is that one of the amazing things God has introduced into my life is the opportunity to serve, to go out into the World and tell people about the wonderful news that is our Lord! I would never have guessed that I would be in this position and am extremely excited.
The mission trip is called World Race and is run through a non-denominational organization called “Adventures in Missions.� The length of time is 11 months, in my team will go to 11 different countries, a month in each country. We will be serving with different ministries in every country, but with the same core goal in each ministry: spreading the love and good news of Christ. Some of the ministries we could be doing are work with orphans, sports camps, manual labor, teaching, help starting/teaching at underground churches, and so much more. We will literally be living out Matthew 28:19 and making disciples of all nations, but without your support, this isn’t possible. Simply put, it is an incredible opportunity for me, and I hope it will also be for you.
As you may know, these kinds of trips can be expensive. The World Race is no different. The total cost of my trip, travel, lodging, and food, will be $15,000. This is where you come in. I am asking you to support me in three ways:
1) Prayer Support- The power of prayer is an incredible thing that I believe we continually underestimate. Prayer is how we speak to God, ask Him for things, and ask Him to help others. Matthew 18:19 says,� Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree for anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.�
2) Financial Support- As I mentioned earlier I have to raise $15,000.00 in support. I hope that rather than blindly giving money, you will pray about this decision and understand that this is a treasure; the ability to give is a gift God has blessed you with. A statistic I recently read says that if you make over $50,000.00, you are in the top 1% of the wealthiest people in the world. WOW!
We have been given deadlines that we must meet. They are as follows:
• $3,000 by July 2nd
• $6,000 by September 1st
• $10,500 by December 1st
• $14,800 by February 1st We Have Reached Our Goal!!
3) Promise to read my blog- I want this trip to be a spiritual journey for all of us. I will do my best to be brutally honest in my writing describing exactly what I see, feel, fear and so forth. My hope is that we can both grow from this amazing adventure. I also would love for you to take this time with your families to read and even utilize it to talk about what God is doing in your lives, your families, and the world.

This is the same site where you can follow me throughout this adventure, and hopefully encourage me with comments. This is definitely not going to be easy.
