Guess what I leave in 16 days and have found out the first ministry that I will be helping with, Kids International Ministries. This is the ministry I will be working with in Manilla! My team, Fuego de Dios, and John Michael's team will be working together for our month in the Phillipines. I am so excited. We will be working alongside Jeff Long, who I have heard some great things about. We will get the opportunity to work with orphans, government displaced kids, and street kids. Doing things from teaching, playing, prison ministry, community development, and just giving them attention. It is going to be awesome!
Before going on the race i was searching for an orphanage to go work at, so this is super exciting that I will get to serve these kids in need for a whole month. Please start praying now that God prepares the way for our teams. That these kids hearts will be open to us and that they will allow us into their lives. A lot of children in other countires and particularly orphans and street kids are forced to grow up a lot faster than a child should have to. They must be "hard" otherwise they will get taken advantage of and wont be able to survive. It makes it really difficult for them to trust anyone.
On a seperate note I want to continue to thank all my supporters! The total I have is now at 9224, plus pledges. It has been amazing to see God work through yall and to see how He has proivded so much. I love you all and am so blessed to have amazing friends and family. So here is a quick update on support and the first ministry we will be serving, more to come before I leave.
