1) Pooped my pants…..twice.
– I was sick ok, it wasn’t my fault
2) Got a shot in my butt called “Wake the Dead”
-It was just steroids, but I had 103 degree fever and it helped a lot!
3) Was part of smuggling a kid into South Africa.
-Its really hard to get passports in Mozambique because the government is so corrupt and she was part of their family. See (Part 2) for more details.
4) Cut a fly’s egg sacks out of my feet.
– These Mango flies get under your skin in your feet and lay eggs.
5) Pooped in a whole full of maggots.
-Grossest thing ever, but you learn to love the little guys because they keep the stench down.
6) Saw wild monkeys while touring were we were staying.
7) Celebrated Christmas and New Years away from my family.
-First time in 22 years that I didn’t spend Christmas with my family.
8) Paid people under the table.
– When we got our African bus tickets we paid our “friends” 400 Meti to save 300 Meti.
All together we probably saved 20 doallrs. Amazing how your mind set of money changes.
9) Slept in 8 different beds in 1 month!
